Just Do It.

Thank you Nike.

The title of this blog post has long been one of my favorite quotes.  And I am a quote junkie.  Seriously.
How much of a junkie, you ask?  Let me mosie on over to Pinterest.  About 175 pins that are quotes.  For realz.

But anyways, that isn't what this post is about.

This quote, specifically, has been striking me lately.  I mean, could it be any truer?

Let me step back for a second.  In case you are new around these parts {which a few of you definitely are}, I am going to be moving to Scotland.  It was supposed to be this week.  But, alas, it is going to be delayed.  Just a few weeks...but, delayed.

I have been ready to move.  I am excited for the opportunities waiting for us in Scotland, and I just want the move to be done.  KnowwhatImean??   So, I have been a bit down, because well, I just want to be some place else.

It has affected my eating, my exercise, my mood.  My couch to 5K?  On a bit of a sabbatical.  Any kind of healthy eating?  On a bit of a sabbatical.

Until today.

Seriously.  I woke up this morning, and it was amazing.  An attitude shift {trust me, I was a bit crabby last night.  if you can't trust me...you could ask J#1, he'll tell you the same thing}, from Negative Nelly to Positive Polly.  From "why can't anything just work out", to "everything happens for a reason".

I knew it in my bones.  Today was the day that I needed to get back on track.  So I started back up with sparkpeople.com.  And I planned to run {okay, walk/run, since I am only on week 3 of couch to 5K} tonight.  Guess what?  It rained all afternoon.  But I just knew I was going to run anyways.

And you know what?  It stopped raining just before I headed outside {seriously, this is the day...Someone is looking out for me}.  And even though it has been almost two weeks {maybe more?} since I went out last, I picked right up where I left off. It sorta sucked.  But, now it feels pretty awesome.

So, if you are thinking about getting out there...

I love the quotes and remember some of them from when I was trying to stay motivated with the C25K.

My husband started running with that program...within 8 months he had lost 20 kilos and ran a 78k through the Swiss Alps....I was jealous...happy for him but still jealous lol
