Five Minute Friday: New

It's Friday.  Friday is tied for my second favorite day of the week.  We always do a little cheer because it is "jeans Friday" (for J#1 of course...the rest of us wear jeans all week).

And this Friday, I am joining in again with The Gypsy Mama for her "Five Minute Friday".

The prompt for this week is:  NEW

START

We moved across the world.  An ocean between us and everything we know.

Everything was new.  The language.  The people.  The food (well mostly).  But all of that doesn't matter.
Because what isn't new is us.  And the fact that we are together.  We are a family.
First it was just me and the man, and then we added a precious new little boy.
As a family of three we crossed the ocean to take part in an adventure.  We've done a bit of adventuring.  But it is time for more.

A new list. A list of things close to us in the Netherlands to discover, in the time that we have left here.  That is what I am going to write.  A Holland Bucket List. It will happen.
And then our family of four will discover more about this country where our #4 joined us.  We will have more stories to tell our NEWest family member.
New memories for us, as a family of four in this country with so many new places discover.

Another new challenge?  I am going to do it.  Learn how to drive our manual car.  33 years into life, I guess it SHOULD be about time.  Then me and the kiddies can sneak off while J#1 is at work on our own adventures.

Our first adventure was to make our way across the ocean.  Our new adventure is to discover as much as we can about this country in time we have here (who knows how long that is...so we better work fast!).

STOP

P.S.  Where should we go?  What should we add to the Holland Bucket List?

P.S.S. My favorite day of the week? Saturday.  Tied for second?  Sunday. Because I am sure you were wondering.

P.S.S.S. Just like last week, I added the photos in after the five minutes was over.

Brilliant, I love Holland, I lived there one Spring. If you can go to the Corrie Ten Boom House, it is simply the most amazingly inspiring place. I love your post, thank you for sharing it. Be blessed, and stick shift, isn't that hard, it just takes a moment and you are driving! Nics
